Jelly roll quilt

 

This is a jelly roll quilt. Or more precisely a jelly roll race quilt. I had it completed for a few years but didn't know how I would quilt it. I decided to use the fancy stitches on my sewing machine. I really enjoy the colors.

Socks

 

My daughter challenged me to make socks. I hadn't made any in 10 years. I learned a lot. I hope she enjoys them.

Deconstructed

 This quilt will be for a wedding gift. I had this quilt displayed in the Twisted Threads quilt show. 

Wisteria challenge quilt

I am part of a Quilting group called The Twisted Threads. Every Spring we sponsor a quilt show. The public as well as those under 18 are encouraged to enter their quilts, also. Our group has a challenge open only to group members. This year the challenge was to use applique and at least 20 buttons.  My Wisteria quilt was my entry. 
 

Fabric Vests

 These vests are from a fabric panel. The decorative stitches around the outside really make the difference.

These are additions to my Mom's (age 96) wardrobe.

Match quilt

My favorite baby/child quilt to make.

This is a Match quilt.

1) match the squares

2) identify what is in the square. This was made for a baby girl. She has a 5-year-old brother who can play with the quilt, also. The back of the quilt is white with pink dots.

 

Table topper birthday presents

 

These table toppers will be birthday presents. The material has about a 10" repeat. I used a 60-degree ruler to cut the ends.

For a coworkers baby girl-Daisy

I made this quilt and soft fabric doll for my coworker. She was excited to get her daughter's first doll. 
 

Murder Mystery Quilt

 

This is the first Block in my Murder Mystery quilt. "Murder by the Sea" Each month of 2022 I will receive a chapter of the book and a quilt block. At the end of the year, we will find out who is the murderer. Sometimes they will be 24" or 8".

Murder Mystery Block #2

 

This is the second block on my Murder Mystery quilt. This is a Food truck. Last month the lady who was murdered was found near the water under a lighthouse. This month we find she has a business card for someone who owns a food truck. The murdered lady despised food trucks.

Murder Mystery Block #3

 

The Mystery continues. The book takes place in Maine which is apparently known for its seafood and lobster. 

The woman murdered in the first chapter has a number of enemies. The murderer could be many of the townspeople or former boyfriends. 

Spring Gnomes tablecloth

 

I realize it isn't Easter yet but I saw this cute material with gnomes and Easter eggs and couldn't resist.
