Road Sign pillows

These road signs are for a great nephews bedroom. He is getting new bedding and stickers for his room. Figuring out how to design the STOP pillow form was very interesting. I now know how to draw an Octagon. Each new project should be a learning experience.

Match Quilt

I like making "Match Quilts." Some people refer to them as I SPY quilts. This one's squares are only 4 inches whereas an earlier one I used 6-inch squares.

With this quilt
1) Match the blocks (two of each)
2) Identify what is in the blocks.
3) Find the 2 blocks that don't have matches.
Something fun!

Baby Rag Quilt with Binding

I have made numerous other rag quilts but this is the first one I have made with a traditional binding.

Halloween Pillowcases

Pillowcases are a lot of fun to make. Each pillowcase takes 3/4 yard of the main fabric, 1/4 yard of another fabric and 2" as an accent fabric. I use a Youtube tutorial by Crafty Gemini to make them.

Travel Art Folio

Travel Art Folio ...a good place for a young child to keep colored pencils, scissors, glue stick, colors, paper  to bring along while traveling or while watching sports events.

Splendid Sampler

My version of the Splendid Sampler took over a year to complete. I received 2 Free patterns for 6 1/2" blocks 2 times a week for a year. I didn't use all the patterns but added some  hand and machine embroidery and other pieced blocks.
I had collected purple and green fabrics for a few years and finally used some of them. I will wait a little while before I make another purple and green quilt.
I entered this in our local county fair and was pleased to receive not only a blue ribbon but an Award of Merit (yellow ribbon).

White Mystery

This is a Mystery Quilt. It has 14 open blocks along the outside of the quilt. I had not done  hand quilting before and realized this was the perfect project to try it. I found hand quilting very relaxing.

Ohio Star versions

I am continuing my Ohio Star version quilt. This is not the layout but it does show a number of the different variations. I will put a sashing in between the blocks. I will continue getting new variations until December.

Memory Quilt

Memory quilt I recently finished with my Dad's shirts.
My mom cut them into squares after he died (July 2006) and gave
them to me a few years ago.
He certainly liked blue.
Happy Father's Day, Dad!

This is an I SPY quilt or I like to call it a MATCH quilt. There are 2 blocks of each different fabric. For example color, tractor, puppies or cats.
This quilt was given as a baby gift.

Ohio Star quilt

I joined a  year long (Sew A Long) group that is making an Ohio Star quilt with all different kinds of variations. We are to receive 1 block week with the option of doing bonus blocks, also. The top right and bottom left are the bonus blocks. I like them all.I will finally have a quilt with my favorite color.

Yoga mat bag

My daughter asked for a yoga mat bag and this is what I came up with. I thought it turned out very well. It is a canvas type of material.

Arcade Mystery Quilt

This was a year long project I did as a Mystery Quilt. There are a number of open white spaces that I don't know what to do with, yet. Any suggestions?
