Log cabin Christmas

Each year my quilting group sponsors a quilt show. Each year it has a feature category. This year's feature category is Log Cabin. I have had this kit for probably 10 years and found this as the perfect use for it. I like using small quilts on my dining room table.

Scrap quilt

My daughter started this quilt using fabric scraps from her first years of sewing. She sent it to me to finish. She had it about 3/4 complete. I added the rest to make a quilt that is 95x95. My husband loves the big quilt.

Art quilt class

This year my quilting group hosted 2 different classes rather than go on a shop hop. I chose the art quilt. It was really interesting to see how the background came together. The white birch trees were made using black fabric paint on white quilting cotton. This was a very fun class.

Pumpkin

It was fun to work with some chunky yarn!

My version of the Harry Styles cardigan

Jo here... Yes, I have still been crafting. I have been working on "Harry." The oversized cardigan I refer to as Harry is fashioned after the cardigan the Grammy award singer Harry Styles wore while practicing for his performance on Good Morning America in early 2020. Pictures were captured of him in his sweater and became very popular on Instagram. It became so popular that the designer J.W. Anderson released the pattern for Free. I have changed some colors, stitches, and sleeves but it is based on that pattern. This cardigan will be gifted to Jane. I brought it to show my Mom (age 97) and she wanted to try it on. I have brought different pieces in to show her while working on it. It should fit Jane well. I still have ends to weave in.

A Pattern for Murder

This quilt is called A Pattern for Murder. Each month in 2022 I received a chapter of a book and a quilting pattern to go with it. The murder occurred near the lighthouse. The climax came on a fishing boat. The markings on the individual buoys held the key to discovering the culprit. It was displayed at my local quilt show.

Connect Cowl/Infinity Scarf

This cowl was part of a Knit a long sponsored by Fibre Space, a yarn store in Alexandria, Virginia, that I joined January 1st. I took part in a Zoom meeting with the designer the beginning of February. I learned new techniques. It was to be a cowl but I like infinity scarves.
